IT’S TIME TO MAKE A CHANGE.

Let me guess:

You're here because it’s time for you & you’re ready.

You’ve got a lot going on. Like, a LOT. You’re smart, you’re funny, you’ve got goals. But it’s a lot to manage. And what about your relationships - how are they doing these days? Is there any time for all that “self-care” everybody’s talking about on Tik-Tok? How are you supposed to keep up when you feel so STUCK all the time?

It’s hard to know where to start. The chaos monster is alive and well but you’re ready to THRIVE. The self-doubt, emotional intensity, messy house, stagnant career are not doing you any favors. Not to mention all that people-pleasing and rejection sensitivity! Does it ever end?

Chances are, someone along the way, maybe even you, assumed your distractibility, worry, and task management are related to something bigger. Perhaps you identify, in part, as “neurospicy.” Maybe you were told you’re “too sensitive” but can’t fathom any other way.

You’re ready to get your shit together. It’s time to be happy and confident. You’ve tried a thousand times. You’ve wondered why you can’t when everybody around you seems to have it so easy. (“Why not me???)

You’re here because you want to set aside all the planners and organizers and well-intended advice that just falls flat. It’s time to do the real, actual work with an real, live expert who gets it. Keep reading.

I’m so glad you’re here.

A bit about me

Hi! I’m Jen (she / her / hers). I specialize in providing comprehensive online therapy to adults navigating Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), autism, and anxiety. Whether you're seeking better organizational skills, improved focus, or strategies to manage emotions, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

I'm not your average therapist. I don’t sit up straight in a stuffy office with inspirational quotes posted on the walls. My space isn’t meticulously clean and neither is my language. I swear; no, literally, like a sailor. And odds are, I’m sitting criss-cross applesauce in comfy clothes. Cuz if we can’t be real in therapy, what’s the point?

When I say I offer accepting, nonjudgmental, REAL therapy that will change your life, I mean it. That’s just how I operate. Yes, I have fancy letters behind my name and a lot of specialized  education and training, but I’m just half of the team - you’re the real expert of who you are, what you want, and what you need. I’m here with my training and skills to help you sort out the path to happiness and success. We’ll chat over coffee, laugh at relatable memes, and we might even share a happy dance every now and then.

I accept you for YOU! Trust me when I say that you’ve already judged yourself enough for the both of us.  In therapy, we're going to be curious, not judgmental. I invite you to join me in the “nein schadenfreude zone.” You’re gonna love it here!

This work WILL change your life. You’re here, you’re ready to work, and you’re maybe even a little excited to get started. It’s time.

I’m here, ready, and waiting. It’s time to invest in YOU.

Be so completely yourself that every else feels safe to be themselves, too.

Working with me . . .

My Style

With over two decades of experience and specialized training in ADHD and related mental health issues, I bring a wealth of expertise and lived experience to my practice. My extensive background enables me to provide effective, tailored support for individuals navigating these challenges. My clinical style is deeply rooted in  a blend of of empathy, compassion, and understanding. My eclectic approach is a blend of psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), and bit of motivational interviewing. There’s a good chunk of psychoeducational stuff, too. You’ll hear references to coping skills, emotional regulation, owning your own shit. The books I recommend the most are “The Whole Brain Child” because we were all children once and that’s part of the problem; I also like “Fair Play” to help get an idea of domestic responsibilities and sharing them in an equitable manner; and “The Menopause Manifesto” by Jen Gunter - she answers ALL the questions and even touches on ADHD. Other great resources that match my style are “How to ADHD,”  “The Autism Dad,” Stacy Turis “How to Survive ADHD without catching your hair on fire,” and “The Anti-planner” by Dani Donovan. I typically complete more than 60 hours of professional training each year, most of which is related to ADHD, autism, anxiety, and the intersectionality of BIPOC, Queer people, and social justice issues.

I get it.

When I say “I get it,” I REALLY do! As a child growing up on a farm in Minnesota, I knew that it was harder for me to hold still, keep quiet, and follow directions than is was for other kids. As a young adult, boredom became painful - literally. By my mid-30’s I was on the struggle bus with all the “adulting”. There was never enough time to take care of everyone else and still feel like myself. When I was 38 years old, I finally took my own advice and saw a psychiatrist. I told her that if everybody else in my house would get medicated for ADHD, I would be fine. She helped me recognize that my struggles, as well as many of my successes, were rooted in ADHD. So, yeah, when I say “I get it,” I REALLY do! I can’t wait to help you “get it,” too!

What I offer you.

I bring my lived-experiences as a late-diagnosed ADHDer with a side of anxiety to my therapeutic style; I’m white and straight, but I come from a close-knit family full of diversity, including progressives, POC, and Queers - this has ALWAYS been my norm and I am proud to claim it as a cornerstone of my theoretical framework. Empowerment is at the heart of my practice. I am dedicated to helping you embrace your unique strengths, cultivate self-confidence, and achieve your personal and professional goals. Together, we will work on strategies and skills that promote resilience and self-efficacy, empowering you to navigate life's challenges with greater ease.

And I do all this remotely, so we can work together where YOU are! Certain conditions apply, of course. For example, you have to be physically located in one of the 9 state’s where I am licensed to practice; you’ll need internet; a good set of earbuds will enhance the experience; a private space is highly recommended, even if it’s in your car during your lunch break. Or in your wherever you park it.
